Beagle Cairn Terrier Mix

The surface of the water of a swimming pool as a boundary between two worlds. In one out of the water, a sign that features the characters is flickering and expressive (and remember a little 'Les triplettes de Belleville " Sylvain Chomet), in the underwater world, however, the figures are simplified to become graphics, collage background almost greenish and compact chlorinated water. Yet it is under water that the protagonist seems to find its most suitable, perhaps because the conventions of the surface world disappear, even if the words become elusive as ever revealed secrets or ever want to cast.
A story about possibilities and absences, silences and poetry, a small, delicate masterpiece of contemporary comics. Bastien Vives, author'm 25 years old now and his Italian debut, will certainly speak to him again. Highly recommended.
